Your files

Every file tool on Convertly Tools processes files locally on your device, using your browser’s built-in capabilities (such as the Canvas API and in-browser PDF and image libraries). When you convert, compress, resize, merge, or split a file:

• The file is not uploaded to our servers.
• We cannot see, store, log, or access the file’s contents.
• Results exist only in your browser until you download them, and are discarded when you leave or refresh the page.

Any tool that sends your input to a server says so clearly on its page before you use it, and this policy describes it. Today that is one tool, covered next. For the technology behind the rest, and how to verify it yourself, see How in-browser processing works.

AI generation (SKILL.md Generator)

The SKILL.md Generator is the one tool that does not run in your browser. When you press Generate, the text in its form (the skill name, what it should do, when to use it, and any optional notes) is sent to a function on our server and forwarded to Anthropic’s API, which writes the draft and returns it. No file is involved, only the text you typed.

• We do not store the description or the generated draft.
• We do not log their contents. Our server logs record only that a request happened and whether it succeeded.
• Nothing you type or generate is sent to analytics or advertising.
• Anthropic processes the request as an API provider under its own data policy. Do not include passwords, keys, customer data, or anything confidential in the description.
• Requests are limited per connection to keep the service available and to bound its cost. The limit uses your IP address in memory for a few minutes and is not kept.

Information we collect

We do not require registration and do not collect names, email addresses, or account data. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. These logs are not linked to your files, which never reach the server. The SKILL.md Generator is the exception described below: its request passes through our server on the way to Anthropic, and only its status is logged, not its contents.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand which tools are useful and how the site performs (for example, page views and approximate location at a city/country level). This data is aggregated and does not include your files or their contents.

Advertising

Convertly Tools is free and is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked first, through Google’s certified consent prompt; declining means ads are non-personalised rather than absent. If you consent, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google never receives your files or anything about their contents. Children’s privacy

The site is a general-audience file utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we don’t operate accounts and don’t receive your files, there is usually nothing for us to hold, but if you have any question or request, contact us and we’ll help.
