WebP to PNG Converter
Convert WebP images to PNG so they open in any app — older editors, office software, and workflows that don't accept WebP yet.
Private by design: This tool runs entirely in your browser using its built-in image engine. Your files are not uploaded to a server, and nothing you convert is stored or logged.
How to convert WEBP to PNG
Drop your WebP files onto the upload area, or click it to browse.
Click Convert. Each image is decoded and saved as a lossless PNG.
Download images individually, or grab everything as a ZIP.
Good to know
PNG output is lossless — exactly the pixels from your WebP, in a format everything accepts.
Transparency in the WebP is preserved in the PNG.
Animated WebP files convert as a single frame (the first one).
Frequently asked questions
Why won't my WebP file open in my editor?
WebP is a newer format, and some desktop applications — especially older versions of Photoshop and office suites — never added support. Converting to PNG makes the image readable everywhere.
Is quality lost in the conversion?
No new loss is introduced — PNG is lossless. If the WebP itself was saved lossily, the PNG preserves it exactly as it looks now.
Do animated WebP files work?
Only the first frame is converted, since PNG is a still-image format. For animations, convert to GIF or a video format instead.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs locally in your browser and your images never leave your device.
